iTunes - Jason Mraz

Last night I had to find a family picture for James to take to school. The task was much harder than it sounds, much harder than it should be. As I started sifting through pictures, the tears that are always just beneath the surface came. The hard part was that the pictures were all so happy. Times of laughter and goodness. I love what we built...but that didn't prevent the cheating and the pain it still causes me. And although a good angry-chick-song is great to run to...this one captures my sorrow of a good thing lost.

iTunes - Apologize.

This song was in my head all weekend - and I could only remember the chorus. Anyhow, here it is...Apologize by Timbaland featuring One Republic. Its been in my head since I heard it on SYTYCD. But, before you click - know that's its not a music video - it's better. I have discovered that if you are a teenager the best way to waste your time is to create your own love videos between characters you adore. This one is Ron and Hermione - its hysterical. I also stumbled onto a Zanessa treasure trove. That's right...go to YouTube, search for Zanessa (the predictable combination of Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudges from High School Musical 2), and you will find so many videos...plastering posters to your wall is nothing compared to this newest form of expression.

"Whohoe, whihooWhohoe, whihooWhohoe" part over and over. There is just something about a catchy tune - it doesn't matter how old you are - when it sticks, it sticks.

iTunes - The Fray

As long as I keep running while I listen, I don't cry. But, if I start walking, I can't help it. I seem to listen to How to Save a Life more than other songs. Its a really good song.

iTunes - Bowl of Oranges

Next time you are on iTunes, or the like, listen to Bowl of Oranges by Bright Eyes. I kind of love Conor Oberst's funky voice. Anyhow, the video is a bit strange but the lyrics are great. I've been listening to it and really like it.

Of course, now that I'm almost thirty, I'm less cool. But it helps to have a sister ten years younger - keeps me ballin'.
