Gymnastics

Thursdays, both of the boys have gymnastics classes; "nastics" as Chase grunts. Chase's fun is mostly in the anticipation - but his favorite thing is climbing the wall ladder "bup, bup, bup" and ringing the bell in triumph. James has fine back somersault form, and is excellent at skinning the cat (that's really what its called). They both look forward to it - and James has really come a long way from his last class at Chelsea Piers. He is so excited about learning how to do cartwheels. Fortunately for me, its rarely crocodile tears - and mostly a lot of fun!

Such cuties!

I love taking Avery to gymnastics - I wish she could take it with them! I am such a proud mom while I am there, looking around to see if any other moms are smiling as big as me.

James has an awesome no-handed somersault on the trampoline. It is beautiful! (some call it a forward roll)

In Texas Gymnastics is one of the official state religions, next to Cheerleading and Football--of course! If you are four and you can't do a front handspring--something is wrong with you! So, looks like the boys are on track and you guys could move to Texas any day now! Just think, they could train with Bela Karolyi.

I LOOOOOVE the look on Chase's face when he's on the rings, it's a little mischevious, like he's almost having too much fun for this to be allowed.
