Sweatshirts

Northern California is sweatshirt weather year round...and it looks like I'll be here for awhile. I am really missing New York and everything there. But, its January and we're in sweatshirts, so I keep reminding myself to count my blessings.

Oh, by the way, we found 4 sand dollars!

I LOVE YOU ANG! And I hate Cheerios too. In fact, I don't like cold cereal at all. I eat toast. This occurred to me on the morning of my 10th birthday. Kim and Chris surprised me with breakfast in bed. The honey-nut version lay swimming in a bowl, inside a sombrero bowl with hat from Mexico, and I think they had been waiting around a few too many minutes for delivery to my room. I was nauseated by the smell. I ate the oranges on my plate and left the Cheerios. I was too embarrassed to tell Kim and Chris, lest I hurt feelings. But that was IT! No more Cheerios. And no more cereal.

I miss you and NY misses you too, but you DO NOT miss the cold. I just enjoyed a sunny break and arrived at JFK on the coldest day of the month, January 26, in espadrilles and a linen coat. BONUS! In the 2 blocks I walked from the 2/3 train to my house, I could not move or feel my little fingers. Not even kidding. :) I'm now in head-to-toe down and uggs. Thank goodness for coats that feel (and look) like sleeping bags!

I saw a chick flick last night and thought of you, although there were also guys in attendance. "Because I Said So!" Mostly enjoyable, a little disjointed, wouldn't buy the DVD, but some good laughs, a few tears. You'll see why.

Love to you, and James, and Chase. I hope to make it to SF very soon. Please save me a seat to "Scaredy Squirrel." Reviews are just making their way back here via NY Mag.

All my love,
w.
