Cookies for Breakfast

Call me crazy, but I think that cookies are a perfectly acceptable breakfast. In fact, that's what I had this morning. Oatmeal...Eggs...Butter...don't most breakfast foods contain these ingredients?! And have it with a glass of milk, we're talking a perfectly rounded meal. Energy bars are passe - cookies are where its at. Or at least I'll keep telling myself that as I tend to eat more cookies than the average person.

Cookies would be great! Ice Cream is good too - just frozen milk... right? :o)

Funny you post this today. Lucas and I did in fact have oatmeal chocolate chip cookies for breakfast. Now I don't feel as guilty. Thanks.

I'm so with you on this. Anything sweet I can find in the morning is perfect. More time to burn the calories right?

Oh my gosh! It must be genetic! For many years now I have eaten cookies for breakfast (only giving them up occassionally when told repeatedly how juvenile, irresponsible or nutritionally bereft my diet has become). It is soooo wonderful to know that the tradition, and I think the very rational thinking that "Cookies can be a very healthy start to the day", will carry on! KUDOS and COOKIES to you! Love ya - Aunt Becky

Actually, Quaker makes "breakfast cookies." I noticed them just the other day in the Duane Reade. You should be a food executive.

Cookies for breakfast - yes, yes that is right. (I even added a little tiny bit of wheat flour to make it that much more okay. You could not taste it and it gave me that much more reason to say, "Hey, they're healthy.")

I love Melanie's reasoning - ice cream is just frozen milk, a great way to get your calcium in (my doctor even approved it for me - yipee!)
